Art Students Win Awards

Students in Ms. Hall's HS Art Club recently participated in the Olympics of the Visual Arts (OVA) state competition and won several awards for their works. The fashion design team placed second for their Louis XVI masquerade ball costume design. The portrait design team took third place for their group portrait mural depicting alternatives to violence and conflict resolution. The sculpture design team's "Alter to the Mechanical Idea", an hommage to the machine also took third place. These students used library books and other resources to research their areas of competition. Twenty-seven schools from across New York State participated in the competition. OVA is sponsored by the New York State Art Teachers Association. Congratulations!
